Exciting New Lakeside Real Estate Development Coming Mississauga

Some may think Mississauga has no more room to expand – except up. Take the new 81 Storey M-3 building for example. But a new development on an old industrial site in South Mississauga is creating excitement.

Inspiration Lakeview, the name of the project, will be extremely sought after not only because of location next to Lake Ontario, but also because of the proximity to Mississauga City Centre (7 km) and access to GO stations, and the QEW and 427 highways. The communities of Clarkson and Port Credit are also close by.

The development project is called Inspiration Lakeview and will be built on the Lakeview Generating Station Lands – known for the iconic Four Sisters coal fired power plant.

The 177 acre site, recently sold for $275 million, will be transformed into a mixed use community with residential, commercial, parkland, and cultural spaces. The project is specifically focusing on integrating environmentally sustainable into the design of buildings.

Transforming a coal fired power plant into a sustainable, walkable community? That sounds like progress.

And that progress comes with profits. The site is expected to be valued at $6 billion when the project is completed.

The space is expected to house 15,000 to 17,000 new residents in 7,000 to 8,000 units. Roughly 760,000 square feet of commercial space will be available, and 3,500 to 4,500 jobs are expected to be created.
